A week into rehearsal and Im feeling a little ovewhelmed. We have been learning songs this past week and the director wants us to have all the songs memorized by next Saturday. That gives us ONE more week to know them. But it is fun and I am enjoying almost every munute. The rehearsals are very busy and you have to take every moment you can get and use them to the fullest. Next week we start working on scenes and choreographing and blocking them. This is the first time Ive done any drama, so I dont know what to expect on anything. I just show up and do what they tell me to do.

I also am going to be volunteering at a school for my OPE stuff. I dont remember what it stands for but its for Oregon teacher liscensing. I am really excited to be able to be in a classroom and help students. I hope i get to be in a music class. Thats what i want to teach when I get my degree. Ok, thats it for now. Gotta be a productive student and do homework.

Since the words are a little small, Ill tell you what it says. Captain Redbeard, I love tradition as much as you, but It might be time to hang up the hook. Yaar... I know

I got a part!

well, as stated in a previous blog, I was trying out for my schools musical, Into the Woods. I tried out on Wednesday and Friday and they called my yesterday (Saturday) and told me that I got the part of Little Red Ridinghood!!! If you know anything about this play, its a semi major role. Its not the MAIN character, but if you take it out, you dont have a story. I even have a solo song I get to sing!! It's all VERY exciting.

I figured out how to add links to a website. All by myself. YEAH! I feel smart. I feel like I can conquer the world! well, wait. no, not really the world. But a website, definatly!

Well, those two pictures are finally up. I have tried and tried to send them and for some reason it would not work. But low and behold, I try it one more time, and it works! YEAH!!! The one dressed as batman is my room mate, Kiva. She really likes batman. I couldnt think of anything to BE so I just decided to be some sort of superhero. thats what the sign on my shirt says. I was wearing Kivas purple spandex, and my swim shorts and a yellow shirt and a blue towel as a cape and since I had some left over fabric, I decided to make a mask.

Well, I got back from my amazing weekend of dancing last night around 1 in the morning. At about 2 sunday afternoon, my feet started to go numb to everything that they were doing. I was still dancing, but they didnt know that. And my calfs hurt right now, due to the fact that when you dance this type of dance, you should be on the balls of your feet at all times. It gives you more balance and allows the lead to be able to change directions at any time. But other than not being able to walk upright, I am GREAT!
I learned so much this weekend. I hope to be able to take classes from these people again some day. They are amazing teachers. They went really fast, but they way they taught, everyone was able to keep up. I just hope I remember all the cool moves they taught. Steven Mitchell taught us a jazz routine, the was sooo.. much fun. I remember most of it, but the sad thing is that I cant get the song on itunes. I would be able to remember a lot more if I had the music to it as well. I guess I will have to look somewhere else.

Today, Im going to be at a dance class then all this weekend I will be dancing! Im soooooo...excited you have NO idea. Its going to be intense but Im ready! i hope. I leave school in 3 hours. Ah! I have to get some homework done first. Ill write all about it when I get back. Toodles!

Well, Im back in school and this semester is looking busy. I have 12 classes and 9 of them are one credit. (music major) I am also going to be trying out for the musical that the school is putting on. Its going to be "Into the Woods". I cant wait! I was told I should be Little Red Riding Hood. I dont know much about the charachters though, so I guess I will just have to be happy with what they give me. The auditions are on wednesday next week so I will have to come back here and tell y'all what part I got. Well, since after looking at my previous posts, I wont write a novel this time.
